In line with the new trend in the 12th Five-Year Plan and China's rapid development of 7 emerging industries, CIAMI 2011 - The 2nd China International Advanced Material Industry Exhibition and the concurrent FCE 2011 - The 8th China Fiberglass Composite Materials Expo, are grandly open today at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC). 113 exhibitors coming from 10 countries/regions including Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, USA, China and Hong Kong SAR are jointly forging China's first versatile materials sourcing platform. The 3-day exhibition (November 1-3, 2011) will showcase various kinds of advanced materials and relevant production solutions under one roof.
Segmented into 4 major sectors, namely: Engineering/Modified Plastics, Fiberglass Composite & Fiberglass Processing Equipment, Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) & WPC Manufacturing and Other Advanced Materials (for instance, fluorine & silicone materials, high performance membrane materials, industrial & functional ceramics, etc)， CIAMI will attract visitors from different industries, including: Automobile & other Vehicles and Auto Parts, Electric Power & Renewable Energy (wind power and solar energy, etc), E&E, IT & Telecommunication, Building & Construction, Rail Transit & High-speed Railway, Aerospace & Aviation, Ammunition, Sports Equipment and Facilities, Medical Supplies and Equipment, New Products of Daily Necessities, Machine Manufacturing, etc.
Engineering/Modified Plastics and Biodegradable Plastics As Trendy Materials
Plastic materials on display range from engineering/modified plastics, plastic additives and auxiliaries to biodegradable plastics. Both engineering/modified plastics and biodegradable plastics have captured substantial market shares in recent years. According to the Organizer, the Germany-based supplier Akro Engineering Plastics will be exhibiting PA6.6 which is an engineering compound, being characterized by high mechanical strength, stiffness and thermal resistance. Furthermore, this polyamide offers high toughness at low temperatures as well as easy processing.
Other exhibitors of its kind include NCM, Letian Plastics, Adell Plastics, Beyondtop, Xinyongtong, Bolin Plastics, etc. Exhibitors showcasing plastic additives and auxiliaries include Kitamura, Hexafluo, Qiqing Chemical, Yuchen Chemical, Songwon, Yukai Chemical, etc, while Wearmax/Greengran and Biograde will show off their new environmentally-friendly biodegradable plastics.
Thermoset and Thermoplastics Applications of Fiberglass
Based on the first successful cooperation between the China Fiberglass Industry Association (CFIA) and Adsale Exhibition, Organizer of CIAMI, last year, both parties are working jointly to stage FCE 2011 - The 8th China Fiberglass Composite Materials Expo again. Two distinguished characteristics of CIAMI/FCE 2011 are integration of both thermoset & thermoplastic applications of fiberglass in one trade show platform as well as showcase of fiberglass production and processing equipment.
Among the realm of fiberglass & fiberglass products, dragonhead suppliers such as Jushi Group, Jiuding New Materials, Chuangjia Fiberglass, Tiannu Fiberglass, Qingke Composite Materials, Shenlong New Materials, Cray Valley, etc, have all showed up. Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) being a green materials is getting more and more popular in recent years. With strong support from the Wood-fiber & Plastic Composite Committee - China Plastics Processing Industry Association (WPCC－CPPIA), the WPC Zone has not only pulled in WPC suppliers such as Huangshan Meisen, Royal WPC, Lianguan Recycling Science Technology, Shanghai Haixing Plastic and Ningbo Helong New Materials, but also the WPC manufacturing equipment suppliers including Jwell Extrusion Machinery, Xinxing Dual Scre Machinery, Neotek Plastic Machinery, Beier Machinery, Tongjia Machinery, Xintian Machinery, Qiangsheng Plastic Machinery, Weier Plastic Machinery, GPM Machinery, Xiongsheng Machinery, Shunde Plastic Machinery, Vida Plastic Mould, Shansu Extrusion Equipment, Techsend Extrustion Machinery, Xinda Machinery Manufacturing, Siwell Plastics, Lion Mould, Lixun Screw, Huahuan Plastic Mould and so on.

Organized by the Shanghai Society for Advanced Materials (SSAM), the China International Advanced Materials Industry Development Forum and the Opening Ceremony of the Yangtze River Delta's Advanced Materials Industry Development Strategic Alliance will be held in conjunction with the exhibition. On the other hand, the 2011 Annual Conference of the China Fiberglass Industry Association (CFIA) will be held during the show period in Changzhou too. Representatives from renowned enterprises as well as industry experts will gather to discuss issues within the industries and explore new market development opportunities.
CIAMI & FCE 2011 have received worldwide attention indeed.
